Angel Ramoni?!

Every time we drive through Idaho Falls and pass by the temple, our kids always point it out to us. Cambree yells, "I see Angel Ramoni!" Cory and I tried to correct her at first and would always repeat back to her, "Yep, that's Angel MORONI." Then we decided it was so extremely cute the way she says it, so we stopped trying to correct her and she loves that she "knows" who is on the top of the temple!

Cory & Julie

Cory is currently teaching at West Jefferson Middle School (formerly Terreton Jr. High, but now they've added 6th grade which makes it a 'middle school') He teaches Social Studies, Geography, History (He did his student teaching with Mr. Rainey - for those of you that went to school in Terreton - and then Mr. Rainey retired right after Cory graduated so he had the opportunity to jump in there.) He also teaches Spanish, coaches Football ~ 7th & 8th grade and helps with WJHS Varsity ~ and coaches track at the Middle School.



During the summer, Cory farms with my Dad. They do custom hay farming. It works out really well because we live right next door to my parents in Hamer so we still get to see Cory a lot during the summer and the kids like to go ride in the swather, tractors, and semi-truck with the guys.



Cory is the Ward Clerk in our ward and stays busy keeping all the records updated. He likes to going flyfishing every chance he gets. He really misses living close to his family and we keep hoping that they will move back this way soon.



Now for me, (Julie), there's not MUCH to say. I am able to stay at home with our kids and luckily do not HAVE to work. I do get into helping farm a little bit during the summer and just learned how to swath last year. I have raked hay and drove the semi truck in the fields since high school, but I never had to learn to swath until 3rd crop last year when Cory had to go back to teaching school in the fall. I also help my Mom with a big garden that is between our houses.



Other than that, I am the Activity Days Leader in my ward and substitute in the Primary. I like to take pictures and have photographed some fun events for a few friends and family (Bridals, Engagement Pictures, Wedding, and Family Pictures.) I would like to learn about the digital stuff so I could create slideshows to put on my blog, but I haven't quite figured that out yet!

Cambree

This last week Cambree was laying on the floor watching TV. Kaleb had built a tower with his big Mega Bloks on top of the kid-size folding table in the living room. All of the sudden the tower just tipped over (nobody even touched it!) and came crashing down on Cambree's head and face. Within a few minutes, her nose swelled up and for the next couple days she had a bruise on her nose and under her eye. The picture doesn't really do it justice...it was quite a shiner!

Our little girly, girl - Cambree loves to wear dresses and has a few favorites that she wants to wear everyday whether they are clean or not. She also loves to wear jewelery and have her nails painted. Not too long ago, we let her pick what reward she got for being good for a few days and at 3 years old, she wanted a pedicure for her reward. She has an outfit now that she calls her cheerleading outfit that she rotates with her silver "cinderella" dress. She is also infatuated with Hannah Montana already. This kind of baffles me because when the TV show is on, she really doesn't watch it. She just wants to buy everything in the store that has Hannah Montana on it! (and listen to the Best of Both World's song over and over and over. I made the mistake of showing her how to repeat the song on the CD player!)

I'm sure all of our family has heard this story, but for those of you who haven't....Over Christmas break, Cory got a buffalo tongue (long story) from one of his students for a Christmas gift. He cooked it and took it to school so all of the kids could taste it. Cory kept asking Kaleb and Cambree if they wanted to try it. The whole time, Cambree kept saying she wanted to. When Cory left with the tongue to go to school one morning, she was still asleep so he cut off a small piece for her and put it in a bag in the fridge. When he got home that night, he told her that he had saved a piece of the tongue for her. She got it out of the fridge and without hesitation, she took a bite of it....cold! Yum! She liked it! She finished eating the whole piece. I'm sure if he would've saved more for her, she would've eaten more. Cambree loves to tell this story to everyone and adds in that "the tongue didn't lick her because it was shot!"

Kaleb

Yesterday in the mail we got a letter telling us that Kindergarten registration is next week. I told Kaleb about it and the only thing he said was, "Will I have to get shots?" He is convinced that since he will be turning 5, that he will have to get 5 shots. I told him it would only be a couple, but apparently he knows more than I do. I am so excited for him to start Kindergarten! I'm sure I'll be a little more nervous and teary-eyed when he is running for the bus in August, but for now, I AM READY! I was trying to get him excited by telling him that at the end of the summer we will get to go school shopping for clothes and supplies, but ya know how excited BOYS get about shopping - not very. Kaleb asked Cory the other day, "Dad, do you know any other 4 year olds that can count to 199?" Cory just said, "No, I don't." He's such a little smartie!

Also yesterday, Kaleb came to me and said he wanted to take the training wheels off of his bike. We took them off and I followed him up and down the drive way a few times holding onto the seat. He said he was done after that so I didn't ever get to the point of letting go, but it's a start! I'll keep ya posted on his bike riding status!

Another one of Kaleb's great accomplishments this week was that he learned to whistle. He has been trying for a long time and he can finally get a few good whistles out. He came into our bedroom this morning and said, "Look, now I can do all three!" Then he did a whistle, a snap, and a wink for us!

ROCK BAND !

While we were in Caldwell for Easter, everyone got into playing Rock Band. (It's like Guitar Hero, but it has drums, a microphone for singing, and hook ups for more than 1 guitar.) I was a little hesitant at first, but once I tried it, I really liked it. I think I pounded the drums a little too hard, but hey - I was rockin' out! LOL ! Kaleb and Cambree added to the band with their flute and maracas that they got from the Easter Bunny! Oh - and don't you love Chad's Rock Star face!?
